Welcome to the Online Grant Writing
Tutorial (GWT) for the Community Action for
a Renewed Environment (CARE) Program. This
tutorial was funded by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region
7, Office of Public Affairs. The key project

The EPA CARE Program
provides the resources to strengthen the
networks and the capacity of their grantees,
partners, and their communities to respond
to their toxic pollutants and environmental
concerns.
The EPA CARE Grant Writing
Tutorial is divided into three segments:
1) Introduction & Visioning
2) EPA CARE Level 1 Cooperative
Agreement
Applications
3) EPA Level 2 Cooperative
Agreement Applications |
The Tutorial was designed to
enable the user to develop a
draft/conceptual proposal using a workbook
editor page that is part of the tutorial.
The following information is
important to note: the user must export and
save their draft document to their own
computer. The user can end their session at
anytime. However, YOU MUST SAVE YOUR WORK
prior to leaving the website or leaving your
computer for any length of time.
At the conclusion of each segment, the user
will be able to export his/her workbook to
Microsoft Word for additional editing
offline and subsequent submission to EPA
CARE.
